Apple - iPod shuffle

Apple - iPod shuffle As Told By Apple.com

In five brilliant colors and just $79, the 1GB iPod shuffle lets you wear up to 240 songs on your sleeve. Or your lapel. Or your belt. Clip on iPod shuffle and wear it as a badge of musical devotion.

One size fits all

You know what they say about good things and small packages. But when something 1.62 inches long and about half an ounce holds up to 240 songs, “good” and “small” don’t cut it. Especially when you can listen to your music for up to 12 continuous hours. In fact, iPod shuffle just may be the biggest thing in small.

Ready to wear

Clip it to your coin pocket. Clip it to your bag. No matter where you clip your skip-free iPod shuffle, you’ll have instant access to music. In silver, pink, green, blue, and orange, iPod shuffle goes with everything. Put it on, turn it up, and turn some heads.

Remix and match

The first step to wearing 240 songs is downloading iTunes — free. Then drop your iPod shuffle into the included dock, plug the dock into your Mac or PC’s USB port, and sync in minutes. Got more than 240 songs? No problem. Let iTunes autofill your iPod shuffle and get a new musical experience every time.

When You're in the Market for an iPod Shuffle, it Pays To Know...

So you're in the market for an iPod, Eh?

Which one should I get? you ask. And I'll admit, at first, looking at all the sizes of iPods, colors, accessories, and all that jazz, one could think looking for your specific iPod style that fits you best is like searching for a needle in a hay-stack.

But that's the glory of choices, right? Living in this day in age gives us this almost limitless potential to choose from so many things that we have at our beckoning call.

Really though, regardless of where you go there are literally hundreds of media gadgets out there begging you to buy them. Even though it’s nice to have this many choices, it can make someone crazy.

If you’re on the verge of buying an iPod shuffle but aren’t quite sure it's the right size for you, then Apple has provided some rather wise (but basic) advice:

"If your digital music collection remains relatively small, you’re probably better off with an iPod mini. But if it takes 30 days to play your music collection from end to end, if you’d like to use the iPod’s extra space for file storage, if you need extra battery life, or if you’re a big fan of audiobooks, you’ll love the new iPods."

This ultimately changes the way you look at iPod shuffles. Since iPods come in 4 different sizes (original iPod, iPod mini, iPod nano, and iPod shuffle) anyone can find the size right to fill their music collection.

If you're looking for just a couple hours of music to workout too, I'd suggest taking the advice of Apple and going with a smaller size. This way you're not spending hundreds of dollars of space you don't need. iPod Shuffles also clip to your clothing. Which is a nice plus.

Questions, comments? Leave me something!

Looking Back to my First iPod Shuffle Experience

I remember the first time I saw an iPod shuffle. I couldn't even tell what it was. It wasn't a money clip, because it didn't have money in it. It wasn't a pin, because it had headphones coming out of it.

I asked the lady who had it on the collar of her shirt and she told me "It's my iPod!" I was taken aback. "An iPod?" I asked. I had only seen the big cream (or some other colored iPod) iPod and knew what they looked like. I had even seen the iPod nano, but this little thing was so much smaller than any of those. It looked like some sort of badge!

The iPod shuffle is the smallest out of all of the iPod's. You can clip it to anything, practically, that it can get around. Mostly, I've seen the clipped to sleeves or collars. It's amazing, too, because these little iPods can carry over 200 songs.

They are also the cheapest in the line. They cost 80 dollars and seem to be well worth it.
